Sofitel debuts in Riyadh with hotel and convention centre

The hotel features 388 rooms and suites and houses the largest luxury hotel convention centre in Riyadh. The Princess Nouf International Convention Centre offers nearly 8,500 square metres of flexible event space

Sofitel, the French luxury hospitality brand from Accor, has announced the opening of Sofitel Riyadh Hotel and Convention Centre, marking its entry into Saudi Arabia’s capital.

The property is located in the Ar Rahmaniyyah neighbourhood and aligns with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 goals by supporting business tourism, international connectivity and large-scale events.

The hotel features 388 rooms and suites and houses the largest luxury hotel convention centre in Riyadh. The Princess Nouf International Convention Centre offers nearly 8,500 square metres of flexible event space, including a grand ballroom and multiple breakout rooms, and can host up to 4,000 guests. The property is about 35 minutes from King Khalid International Airport and close to key city landmarks, including Kingdom Centre Tower and Diriyah.

Sofitel Riyadh blends French design elements with Saudi cultural influences. The building architecture draws inspiration from desert landscapes and regional heritage, while interiors reflect Sofitel’s established luxury positioning.

The hotel offers multiple dining venues, including Thu-rya, serving Lebanese cuisine, Zeline for all-day dining, La Matinée tea lounge, and Toi et Moi, a French Mediterranean brasserie. La Haute Croissanterie, Sofitel’s signature pastry concept, is also part of the offering. A cigar lounge, Monsieur Boisé, is scheduled to open shortly.

Wellness facilities include the Sofitel Spa, developed in partnership with Clarins, featuring separate facilities for men and women, indoor pools, hammam and treatment rooms. This will be the first Clarins Spa in Riyadh. More
