Saudi boutique hotel to join Marriott’s Autograph Collection

Brand conversion slated for completion in December 2026

Shirvan Hotel City Yard Jeddah will join Marriott International’s Autograph Collection Hotels portfolio after owner Manazel Al Naqaa Limited Company signed an agreement to convert the boutique property.

The hotel will remain operational throughout the transition, which includes a new brand positioning, refreshed visual identity and selected enhancement works, with the reflagging set for completion in December 2026.

Located within City Yard in Jeddah’s Al Rawdah district, the hotel will feature 113 rooms and suites, offering convenient access to the city’s commercial, lifestyle and cultural districts, as well as King Abdulaziz International Airport (JED). The property is characterised by its low-rise architecture, sandstone-clad façade, open-air spaces and contemporary Saudi-inspired interiors. It will offer multiple dining venues alongside wellness facilities, meeting spaces, a fitness centre and a swimming pool.

The hotel forms part of City Yard, a mixed-use lifestyle destination centred around a vibrant urban plaza that combines hospitality, restaurants, cafés, retail outlets and social spaces. Designed with landscaped public areas, an interior street, water features and pedestrian-friendly outdoor spaces, the development is aimed at encouraging visitors to stay, dine, shop, work and socialise.

Talal Yousif, Senior Director of Development of Saudi and Kuwait at Marriott International, said: “Saudi Arabia remains a key growth market for Marriott International, and we continue to see strong momentum across the kingdom’s hospitality landscape. The signing of the Autograph Collection Hotel with Manazel Al Naqaa Limited Company reflects our ongoing focus on expanding our portfolio with distinctive properties.”

The development adds to Marriott’s continued expansion of the Autograph Collection brand across Saudi, with future projects planned in Riyadh, AlUla and Neom’s Sindalah Island. The hospitality company recently partnered with local developer Blacksand to develop 10 new hotels across Saudi over the next four years, adding more than 1,300 rooms across luxury, premium, select-service and long-stay brands.

As of November 2025, Marriott’s portfolio in the kingdom reached 100 properties, spanning both operational and upcoming hotels. The move comes as Saudi’s tourism sector continues to expand, with travel and tourism contributing US$178 billion to Saudi’s GDP in 2025, according to the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC).
